Europe Increases Support for Ukraine as US Remains in Deadlock

The United States has seen much division regarding sending further aid to the Ukraine. Republicans on Capitol Hill have significantly slowed down if not hindered Democrats from giving more aid. The American aid has been vital to Ukraine's efforts and the loss of this aid could have dire consequences for their war effort. Many analyst suggest that Ukraine would slowly lose without American support. Both foreign ministers of Britain and Poland warned that failure in Ukraine "will remake the world as we know it” as they urged US lawmakers to continue support. This alongside European Commission president, Ursula Von der Leyen and Belgian Prime Minister, set to make a visit to Kyiv on the 2 year anniversary of the Russian invasion. Sweden unveiled its largest aid package worth $682 million. This is important due to Sweden being a minor nation and it being the largest aid package showing escalating support from Europe in the absence of American. However, Europe still has a long way to go to make up for the stand still in congress. European efforts have been focused on pressuring America to continue its support. That may be the most important for Ukraine in the long run.

If Mr Trump can convince the electorate that he is correct that will help him in November.

Mr Khan is the first muslim mayor of the city. Mr Anderson went on to say “He’s given our capital city away to his mates." He clarified that he did not believe that islamist had control of all the UK just London and Mr Khan. Not surprisingly the comments have sparked outrage and calls for Mr Andersons resignation. The Conservatives have tried to say that Mr Anderson was commenting about islamist marches in the city.
